House RulesRespect and Courtesy· Treat all members of the house with respect and kindness. Verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated.
· Observe quiet hours from 11 PM to 7 AM to ensure a peaceful environment for all residents.
· Respect the privacy of fellow residents. Do not enter another resident's room without permission.
· Stealing, verbal, physical threats, acts of violence or abusive behavior are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate expulsion.
· No weapons of any kind including folding knives, batons, pepper spray etc.
· No burning candles, incense or other items
Substance-Free Environment
· No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the premises at any time. This includes prescription medications not reported to the house manager.
· Smoking is allowed in designated areas only. Smoking in the home or any indoor structure is strictly prohibited. Dispose of cigarettes properly to maintain cleanliness.
· All residents are required to submit to random drug testing which includes breathalyzer and urine tests 2-3xweek and any time requested to ensure compliance with sober living guidelines.
· Refusal of a test will be considered a positive test and will comply with relapse protocol and possible expulsion.
Participation and Accountability
· Attend all house meetings and participate actively. These meetings are essential for community building and addressing concerns.
· Residents will always maintain a clean room. No eating or drinking in bedrooms.
· Participate in assigned chores and maintain cleanliness in common areas. Responsibilities are shared to uphold a tidy living environment.
· Report any issues or rule violations to the house manager immediately. Accountability is crucial for the safety and well-being of everyone.
Visitation and Curfew
· Visitors are not allowed.
· Curfew is set at 10:30 PM. (Sun-Thurs) 11:30PM (Fri-Sat) Residents must be in the house by this time unless prior approval for late return has been granted.
Health and Well-being
· Engage in regular physical activity and maintain a healthy lifestyle. This contributes to overall recovery and well-being.
· Seek support and counseling as needed. Resources are available to help residents navigate challenges and maintain sobriety.
· Respect communal spaces and contribute to a positive, supportive atmosphere.
Consequences for Rule Violations
· Violations of house rules will result in consequences determined by the house manager and/or owner, which may include warnings, loss of privileges, loss of bed placement and home access.
· Residents are expected to comply with all rules and guidelines to maintain their place in the sober living home.
· There are NO refunds for residents who relapse or decide to leave early
